As a big Star Trek fan I was eager to print the Warp Core of the USS Enterprise NCC 1701D from Star Trek TNG
The process
I downloaded the model from Thingiverse and then printed it. The black parts are made of PLA and the transparent parts are made of PETG.
I have incorporated several strips of WS2812B LED strip in it, which I control with a self-written program on an Arduino Nano with a Touchscreen LCD.
The whole project took 91 hours of printing time and took up 850 grams of print material.
